of naive illusions

this is something completely abstract.
can we fathom the existence of beautiful lives and happily ever after? are they an actual reality or just mere figments of some naive illusions?
beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,
but what we see often is not what actually exists.
the world hides profound and immense secrets, by which the eyes of some may comprehend, whereas others miss.
millions of things happen within a blink of an eye, millions of things that the eye blinker will miss.
and what is a perfect life or a happily ever after when it is all outward appearance?
what lies inside is what often matters,
and truth can never be understood within a glance.
underneath her smile, there's a completely different story.
and underneath that plain, bare glance, of inevitable beauty there is profound darkness, one of which one can never comprehend.
it is within naive illusions that we often make assumptions of vanity and envy.
these naive illusions are there to stay. they're inevitable, and our minds can never evade the solitary confinement it brings.
however, envy can be beautiful, just another thing that makes life more interesting.
do beautiful lives exist?
i do not know,
but beauty is within the eyes of the beholder,
and where we live and exist, there has always been many, many eyes

i can lie under the stars with you once more

o'er the milestone ruins,
catch thy breath,
and make thee fall
weave a wreath,
for jupiter's ball

venus' kiss,
and all the reasons to miss,
words spoken,
some escape token,
wherever shall i go but to thy woe

i dreamt of yesterday,
some dreams seems far away,
time weaves all strain,
and mend the broken,
but absence makes the heart grow fonder

take my heart,
and keep it there
for what can i use it for
if not to love?

like the galaxies,
and universe far away,
like pluto, a million lightyears away
i know thous't there,
and even in the dark,
tis never too much for me to bear

can i believe?
with faith i conceive,
the existence of miracles,
where in them i know,
i can lie under the stars,
with thee once more

i love you most ardently, 3:28 PM.

defining moments
defining moments. the most fleeting of instances. they come and go, so inevitably fast that it is often impossible to fathom their past, if not, present existence.
but moments do happen, even if they are fleeting, they did happen and sometimes, that is all that ever matters.
do we pick these moments? or do they pick us?
it is, like so many other things, just a semantics issue.
but there is always a truth within semantics, one meaning has to be the truth. it is never possible for semantics to be true because no one ever makes their own truth. it is just simply there.
no one can ever have just one defining moment. the best of times come and go. there's never just one. there will be another best of times, even if it is not like the previous ones before. defining moments, they come and go. they shape who you are, what you are. they correct, they replace. in the end, life is spent learning about these defining moments and how they all defines you. defining moments, they pick us, but it is us who picks one, if not, more that ever matters.

the list of defining moments goes on for ages. they are fleeting, sweet and subtle, like the summer breeze or the blush on your cheeks, but they are there to stay, because they define who you are. and in the end, it's these defining moments that ever matter. there's too much to even fathom, but one will always mean the most of all.
